Ingredients
  • 4 slices bacon (chopped)
  • 1 1/2 pounds ground lamb
  • 1 small yellow onion (chopped)
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • salt and pepper
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and lightly grease an 8x8-inch glass baking dish.
  2. Cook the bacon until crisp then remove to paper towels with a slotted spoon.
  3. Reheat the skillet and cook the ground lamb, onion, and garlic – season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Cook until the lamb is browned then stir in the cream cheese.
  5. Spread the mixture in the baking dish then sprinkle with the cooked bacon.
  6. Whisk together the heavy cream, eggs, cheddar cheese, mustard, salt and pepper.
  7. Pour the mixture over the casserole ingredients and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
  8. Bake for 15 minutes until the cheese is melted and browned. Serve hot.
